Mushrooms & Onion Chutney on Toast


  • 100g mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Your choice of bread
  • Onion Chutney, either shop bought or you can make your own


  1. Make the Onion Chutney prior to frying the mushrooms or use a shop bought version.
  2. Wash and dry the mushrooms then slice. Heat the butter in a fry pan and add the sliced mushrooms followed by a pinch of salt and pepper. Fry the mushrooms for around 5 minutes until soft and golden brown.
  3. Toast your bread under the grill or in a toaster, spread a layer of onion chutney and top with mushrooms.
